Planning a wedding can be an overwhelming task, but fortunately there are numerous resources available to help make the process easier and more enjoyable. From inspiration to organization, these top wedding resources are designed to assist you every step of the way. Whether you’re looking for ideas, guidance, or practical tools, these resources will be your ultimate go-to companions as you plan your special day.
Utilize hashtags and The Knot:
The main way that I found wedding vendors was by searching hashtags on social media and searching vendors and prospective categories on the knot website. It was so helpful in not only helping me find vendors but finding vendors in my area! For example, I would search #atlweddingphotographer, #atlcaterer, #atlweddingdecor, and variations of the like. Sometimes Google can be a bottomless pit, but hashtags really helped me to narrow down my options and also allowed me to see the work of people that I could potentially hire. Check it out below.
Zola:
Zola was absolutely amazing and probably my favorite wedding resource! We decided to go paperless for our wedding, created a facebook group for wedding guests, and created a wedding website via Zola with virtual online RSVPs. We included all links to our wedding website in our wedding guest facebook group. Not only was Zola amazing for this but they had so many other resources like honeymoon funds, helpful timelines, and wedding registries. It was extremely user friendly with the right amount of diverse options to please every aesthetic. Check it out below.
Newly Named:
Newly Named was also a lifesaver! It is essentially a company that will send you a box of pre-filled paperwork to legally change your name when you get married. That includes all of the legal documentation and subscription documentation that you need. I completely dropped my maiden name and took my husband’s last name, and Newly Named made it super easy. I was able to legally change my name within my first month of marriage. They can also assist if you plan on hyphenating. Check it out below.
Pinterest:
Pinterest is the ideal place for wedding planning! All of my inspiration and ideas for my wedding decor, dress, and color scheme were rooted in a pinterest board and it was so helpful in keeping me organized and concise, and getting my creativity out of my mind and on to something visual. I shared my board with my wedding planner and with my decorator and it truly kept us all in sync with my vision and allowed them to execute it to perfection. I had one wedding board and rearranged pins according to category, but you can absolutely have a board for every category/vendor if you want to be super organized. Check it out below.
