Hi queens! In this blog post we are going to be talking delicates and what I believe to be the top shapewear, delicates, and tips you need for pageantry! The key to having seamless wardrobe onstage is making sure that what is underneath your wardrobe holds you in all the right places, concealing what needs to be concealed and enhancing what needs to be enhanced.
Bras and seamless panties
Every girl needs a good strapless bra, a good push-up bra, and a good everyday t-shirt bra. A strapless and push up bra are great for your interview and appearance attire. A good everyday t-shirt bra is great for casual pageant week events where you are out on the town. When it comes to wearing a bra on stage for evening gown I always advise that you skip it and have your seamstress sew cups into your gown. Having cups sewn into your evening gown, or most of your wardrobe for that matter will ensure a custom fit and it will be one less thing for you to worry about.
Seamless panties are also so important because they fit close to your body and prevent your clothes from bunching or riding up. They are a no-show undergarment and remove all panty lines, which is very important for a super polished look. If you are comfortable you can also go commando pageant week, it will again, be one less thing to worry about. You can also level up both your bras and seamless panties by making sure they are in your shade of nude. This will prevent any shadow lines in your attire and make your outfit look like a second skin.
Washing correctly
With your bras and panties specifically, you want to be sure that you are washing them correctly so that they last and stay in good condition for you wear after wear. You can always hand wash your delicates and hang them to dry, but if you opt for a machine be sure to use the delicate cycle on both the washer and dryer. Always wash your good bras and panties by themselves, and you can even use those delicate washing garment bags to help them keep their shape.

Cutlets
Chicken cutlet bras or silicone sticky bras are a staple for pageant girls! They are like a better version of the strapless bra and offer you so much support and versatility with your wardrobe. They are a sticky, flesh tone, strapless, push-up bra all in one and you can wear them with pretty much anything. Alot of them also come with a front fascinator so you can leave the covers on and even insert them into something like a swimsuit for an added lift. No matter what you call them, chicken cutlets, silicone sticky bras are a must-have and have many functions.
Band aids, pasties, and fashion tape
It’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference. Band-Aids and fashion tape play a key role in keeping intricate wardrobe in place and keeping nipple silhouettes away. Band-Aids are a much more affordable alternative to pasties and do the job just as well. Fashion tape is great for situations where you have a high slit on your dress or a plunging neckline and you want to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions. It is double-sided, and while one side sticks to your skin the other sticks to your clothes acting as a seal so that you can leave room for the imagination.
Butt glue
Although I am seeing less and less girls use it due to the movement of body positivity, I think butt glue is still a pageant staple that every girl needs. The correct term for it is body adhesive, but in the pageant world it is called butt glue because that is the area that it is primarily used on. The purpose of butt glue is to keep your wardrobe from riding up and revealing too much of your lady bits. It is primarily used to glue your swimsuit bottoms to your butt cheeks so that when you walk on stage you won’t have a wedgie. Because your swimsuit bottoms are literally glued to your skin it can also control the movement of cellulite, and in general keep movement under control if you are a top or bottom heavy woman. I am a firm believer in swimsuit being done tastefully, and pageant girls understanding the best view and support for their assets. You don’t need to hide what you have, just make sure that your womanly assets have the support they need. You can also use butt glue in the same way as fashion tape. If you have a plunging neckline or a high slit you can also glue your wardrobe to yourself for support and to keep from flashing the judges and the audience. Butt glue is also pretty sticky and in my experience the only thing that gets it to come off is baby wipes. You also want to be sure to send all of your wardrobe that you used it on to the cleaners.
