Kelsey Hollis is currently a 25 year old from Warner Robins, GA. She has interned for VFL Films and the SEC Network, and is currently pursuing a career in clinical psychology, with hopes of one day opening her own firm of traveling sports psychologists. Growing up with an older brother who was diagnosed with ASD prompted Kelsey to create a non-profit organization entitled TAABS: Teaching Autism Awareness by Siblings, and an Education Initiative entitled A-Cubed, which she has been able to teach in over 20 schools throughout the state of Georgia.
In 2016, Kelsey served as Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen where she placed 2nd runner up to Miss America’s Outstanding Teen and took home the overall vocal talent award. In 2022, Kelsey was crowned Miss Georgia 2022, becoming the 1st black Miss Georgia crowned in 14 years, making her only the 3rd black Miss Georgia to be crowned out of 80 total winners. At the Miss America Competition in December of 2022, Kelsey was blessed enough to win her group’s preliminary award for her Social Impact Pitch, and place 4th runner up to Miss America 2023. To date, Kelsey is the only black woman who has been invited to sing on the House Floor at the GA State Capitol and win both of Georgia’s Teen & Miss state titles.
Upon giving up her title in 2023, Kelsey started a pageant & interview coaching business entitled Coaching by Kelsey and since, has had the opportunity to work with over 100 clients all throughout the country alongside pursuing her career in clinical psychology. Kelsey is honored, blessed, and thankful to have had the opportunity to represent the state of Georgia during her reign.
In this season of her life, the most valuable lesson that Kelsey has been able to learn as a single woman is the importance of cultivating a deep relationship with God individually, so that she one day has the ability to share that love in a sustainable and unconditional way with the person designated for her. She has learned that it’s impossible to prospectively give someone else true love, care, and respect that you aren’t able to give to yourself. Discovering the impact of being one with Christ in solitude at some point in time is extremely important to becoming a healthy person for yourself and your loved ones.
She would like to remind everyone that God has called us to be useful — not important. Take every step of life as a learning experience to plant fruitful seeds into the lives of those around you. His plan is ALWAYS so much greater than ours.
