I met Chimere through pageantry! We’ve competed together and she is confident, fabulous, and gives off big sister vibes. Chimere Nicole Haskins is a dynamic entrepreneur, author, humanitarian, and social media influencer dedicated to empowering women. Mother of two daughters and wife, Chimere has dedicated her life to service to others. As the owner and operator of CN Salon LLC for over a decade, she has helped clients across the tri-state area look and feel their best. Beyond the salon, Chimere extends her influence through the #GirlYes movement, a mentorship program and platform designed to inspire women to embrace boldness, ambition, and confidence. A graduate of Rowan University with a degree in Liberal Studies, Chimere is currently pursuing a master’s in Public Policy with a concentration in Nonprofit Leadership at Rutgers University.
Her commitment to service is evident in her active involvement with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the NAACP, and Dress for Success Central New Jersey. As Mrs. New Jersey America 2020 and International Mrs. USA 2023, Chimere continues to use her platform to advocate for women’s leadership and empowerment. Through #GirlYes, she provides mentorship, leadership training, and personal branding resources, furthering her mission to support women in business and beyond. Her book, Girl Yes, expands on this vision and has reached audiences worldwide.
Chimere is widely recognized for her strategic thinking, resourcefulness, and dedication to uplifting others. A passionate community advocate, she has raised funds for charities, supported businesses impacted by COVID-19, and worked to create lasting change. Whether through beauty, branding, or advocacy, she remains committed to making a difference—one woman at a time.
Chimere’s greatest lesson learned as a mother is that you can’t pour from an empty cup. Raising children is an often-unrewarding job. People don’t always recognize the sacrifices of a mother, and it can feel daunting. Learning to take care of oneself first requires a mindset shift. It takes quite some time to master; however, we can’t give our children what they need until we have what we need. Being a good mother requires self-reflection and intention.
