I met Jazmine through pageantry! Our first competition together was Miss Macon in 2012, and as the only two black girls competing we instantly connected and have been close ever since. Jazmine is ambitious, talented, and balances career and family so beautifully.
Jazmine is a Georgia Southern University graduate with a B.S in biology. She also received her associate degree in cardiac sonography from Central Georgia Tech, passing the international exam. She is currently a cardiac sonography supervisor at Northside Hospital, and oversees 15 Sonographers and the daily operations of a busy cardiology lab. Jazmine also teaches at Gwinnett Tech as an adjunct echocardiography instructor to inspire the next generation of cardiovascular sonographers.
As a family woman, Jazmine enjoys spending time watching reality TV shows with her husband, going on long walks with their son, and cooking. Being a career woman, wife, and toddler mom have taught her to be resilient and give herself grace. As a wife she loves having a partner for life while watching and supporting one another. Her husband has seen her graduate college and advance in her career, cheering her on the entire way. She believes that there is nothing like building a life with someone who loves you and knows you better than anyone else.
Jazmine believes that being a parent is not easy but it is rewarding, and it is a blessing from God. She has learned that every child grows on their own accord and to just cherish the moments. If she could go back in time she would tell herself to live in the moment because life is short and children grow fast. Jazmine‘s favorite thing about being a mom is being able to see how much her son learns on a daily basis, watching him grow into his personality, and hearing him say “mama” and “dada”.
